DESCRIPTION:The 74th Annual Shasta Damboree Community Awards Banquet will take place on the second Saturday in March at the Larry J. Farr Community Center. Doors open at 5:00 PM\, you’re invited to an evening dedicated to honoring the extraordinary individuals and organizations that make our community shine.\n\nThis cherished tradition is more than an event—it’s a celebration of the heart and soul of Shasta Lake. From volunteers and educators to first responders and local businesses\, the banquet is a moment to reflect on and recognize the efforts of those who go above and beyond to make our city a better place to live\, work\, and play.\n\nIndividual tickets are available for $35\, or reserve a table for eight at $250 to share the experience with friends\, family\, or colleagues. Your attendance and support not only highlight the importance of community recognition but also help sustain this beloved tradition for future generations. SUMMARY:Sensory Hour at the Museum
DESCRIPTION:We are proud to open our Museum doors with our lights dimmed\, minimal sounds\, and a relaxed atmosphere. Sensory Hour is an event for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or Sensory Processing sensitivities and their families to experience the Museum at their own pace. Our goal is to make Sensory Hour a comfortable environment for individuals with a variety of sensory differences. Our staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you have\, and if necessary\, direct you to a quiet space that provides a chance to cool down and take a break. Families are welcome to stay the remainder of the day to explore the rest of the Park. Participants are always welcome to bring their own fidgets\, ear protection\, and other sensory resources to the Park. This program is free\, however pre-registration is required and space is limited.
