District 3 Town Hall Meeting
October 21 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This event will take place from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Burney VFW Hall in Burney. The Town Hall idea came about because results of the community survey titled “Your Voice, Our Future” that went out last year showed a strong desire to have improved communication and increased trust in local government through transparency and access to information. This played a part in Goal #5 of Shasta County Strategic Plan: Community Engagement. These are County-sponsored Town Halls being held in each of the 5 supervisorial districts over the course of the next year. The first was held in August for District 2 residents. Pre-planned topics include fire safety, planning/permitting processes, and economic development. Those who wish to attend can also submit questions or topics ahead of time.
