Beautify Shasta Partners with Trout Unlimited for Annual Sacramento River Cleanup

Join Beautify Shasta and their partners at Trout Unlimited for the Annual Sacramento River Cleanup on Saturday, April 4, 2026!
This cleanup takes place along the Sacramento River in Redding and also falls on Beautify Shasta’s first Saturday of the month cleanup—making it a perfect opportunity to get involved.
📍 Volunteer Meeting Location
Posse Grounds Boat Ramp (Turtle Bay area behind the Civic Center next to the rodeo grounds)
• Meet at 8:00 AM
• Volunteers will be assigned to shoreline cleanup or may assist with boat crews
🚤 Boaters Welcome
If you have a drift boat, raft, jet boat, or paddleboard, you’re encouraged to participate!
• Arrive 30 minutes early to launch
• Help transport volunteers and collect trash along the river
• Life jackets are required for all on-water participants
🧤 What’s Provided
• Trash bags
• Cleanup coordination
• Disposal support
🎒 What to Bring
• Gloves (recommended)
• Comfortable work clothes
• Sturdy shoes (you may encounter rocks, brush, or water)
• Sun protection
• Plenty of water
