Salmon Release

Join us Saturday, January 31, for our 5th annual Chinook Salmon release. In partnership with Coleman National Fish Hatchery, Turtle Bay Exploration Park will release about 400 juvenile Chinook Salmon into the Sacramento River. These young salmon have been with Turtle Bay for almost a year as part of a Conservation Head Start Program to give them a better chance of surviving in the wild. Activities like salmon crafts, artifacts, and more start at 3pm in front of the Museum near the Sundial Bridge. Then join us under the Sundial Bridge for the release at 4pm, rain or shine. Help us send these amazing fish on their way!
