Why is homelessness a civic responsibility, all I see are tweeted out junkies and young children with a dog. These people have no positive contribution to society.
Instead of bombing Iran and South America, building a ball room, painting the reflection pool and so much more, perhaps the republicans can fund a homeless support fund.
Redding Is Going To Burn – Kevin Crye Plays The Fiddle
3 Arson fires in Redding in one week period?
One thing I loved about Redding Police Chief Barner, is that he brought to light a VERY SERIOUS safety issue here in Redding and Shasta County that is FACT
Police chief alarmed by sex offenders housed in East Redding hotel – YouTube
https://youtu.be/9V_fMD-f1D0?si=k05scV6tlrCzpFp-
“Nearly 30 registered sex offenders and arsonists were placed in east Redding motels via the “No Boundaries” transitional housing program. The majority of this clientele is concentrated at the GuestPlace Inn & Suites and the Bridgeway Inn & Suites on East Cypress Avenue.”
Both are in Shasta County Supervisor Kevin Crye’s District… And what is Kevin Crye saying about this massive safety issue we are facing? Crickets…
Where is the oversight?
Arsonists are really never cured, and approximately half of these individuals were sent to Redding by the California state parole department from outside the local area**, AND** Parolees originate from various locations across California (including Fresno County) and other states, notably Tennessee and Illinois!
And what is Kevin Crye saying about this massive Safety issue we are facing? Crickets…
He has multiple platforms to speak on this issue, Shasta County Supervisor board meetings, a website, a weekly 2-hour weekly radio show. Crickets…
Are you telling me Kevin Crye cant speak at the next Redding City council meeting and address the horrific dangers facing his district and surrounding area of his responsibility?
Can arsonist be cured? No, there is no permanent “cure” for pyromania or arsonist tendencies.
So don’t be supprised this summer that we have a big jump in arson related fires.
Houses will burn, and lives will quite likely be lost….
What we DONT need is government officials Crying about election integrity constantly, and SILENCE on what effects public in such a dramatic way, a complete and devastating SAFETY issue.
Crickets…

I agree and have said the same. Also every year they complain about all the trash they have to pick up well we know where their camps are put dumpsters there so they have some where to put their trash and you would elemenate that problem.
I was reading a nice article in the rs about the origins of Linden as one of the first black neighborhoods in Redding. How sad to read this story the very next day.
As a Firefighter of 20 plus years and a homeless advocate, ive said it for years. This Absolutely was predictable fire when you criminalize homeless forcing them to go deeper and deeper into the brush where there are denser fuel loads… Redding and Shasta County refuse to take responsibility for the total lack of shelter space. Authorities allow homeless to camp in a box canyon, and wonder why a fire races up the hill. Make no mistake, if there was double digit wind speeds to go along with the single digit humidities and triple digit temperatures during this fire houses and quite possibly lives would certainly have been lost. I believe for some reason the county has property where this fire started. I have also talked to Redding Fire Investigator Dean Herzberg from the past who told me he believes homeless haters love to start fires in their camps to generate total hatred for them. Redding City Council and Shasta County Supervisors, You made the Wine, now drink the Cup.
