Shasta board reinforces non-sanctuary status amidst small anti-ICE protest

After Shasta County was named in a Department of Homeland Security list of jurisdictions across the nation that were allegedly out of compliance with immigration laws, the board voted yesterday to approve a letter to DHS reiterating that Shasta is not a sanctuary county. A small group of anti-ICE protesters staged outside during the meeting.
