Bethel Church

An LLC known as Show Faith by Works, under agreement with its “foreign principal” Israel, is aiming to “distribute pro-Israel information” to American Christians. Representatives of both Bethel and Pathway said they were not involved in the decision to include their organizations in a list of potential audiences for the Israeli-funded marketing campaign.

An estimated 2,000 people attended a vigil held last Thursday, September 18, for Charlie Kirk. The event was held on Shasta College’s campus by the evangelical nonprofit 1Hope4America, which is run by Bethel Church Pastor Tom Crandall.

The Northern California megachurch is part of a movement that’s become known as the New Apostolic Reformation. At the Church’s annual School of the Prophets conference, attendees paid hundreds of dollars for instructions on how to hear from God to create political change.

During a documentary film screening last week, the internationally-known Redding megachurch surveyed attendees about their interest in joining elections-related action groups. Laura Hobbs, a community member whose claims of local election fraud were recently thrown out by a judge, was there to “sign up poll workers” according to the Bethel pastor who coordinated the event.

Senior leaders shared messages that called the congregation to repent from any bitterness or slander against Trump while also cautioning against viewing any political leader as king. The Church has a rich history connected to Donald Trump.

The four remaining Council members will decide between new Planning Commissioner Joshua Johnson, and former City Council members Erin Resner and Kristen Schreder. The appointee will hold the seat through December. An election this fall will decide who holds the seat for the following two years.
