Update: Redding Community Member Marv Ellis Has Been Found Dead
Ellis is well known for providing tacos to those in need. He’s been missing for more than 36 hours.

Update: On October 6 the Redding Police Department issued a press release stating that a body that was found on September 26 in a wooded area near the Ribbon Bridge has been identified as Daniel Baker also known as Marv Ellis. The case remains under investigation and a post-mortem exam has been scheduled.
This morning, September 15, the Redding Police Department opened an investigation into the disappearance of Marv Ellis (legal name: Daniel Baker) after he’d been missing for more than 36 hours.
His mother first requested help from the police on the evening of September 13, which is when she says he last left their shared residence on foot, appearing upset.
Ellis, who’s well known in Shasta County for providing tacos to community members in need, was recently featured on Shasta Scout’s Underground Good column. Friends have been searching for him and distributing digital and paper posters with his photo since yesterday morning.
Ellis is 5’6” tall, 120 lbs, with brown hair and green eyes. Anyone with information regarding Ellis’s whereabouts should immediately contact the Redding Police Department.

just a note that he is “probably” not 120lbs.. I’m estimating, based on knowing him 8 years, more likely close to 140 lbs
