Shawn Fire prompts evacuations near Anderson
The fire started today a little after 1 p.m.

7.30.35 3:15 p.m.: Evacuation orders in zones HAP-7660 and HAP-7670 have been downgraded to evacuation warnings.
7.30.25 3:15 p.m.: Forward progress has been stopped, per Watch Duty.
7.30.25 2:39 p.m.: The fire has been mapped at 16.9 acres, according to Watch Duty.
A PG&E Outage Center map shows power outages in the area of the fire. The map estimates up to 49 customers are affected by the outage. The outages are near Happy Valley Road.
The Genasys Evacuation Map shows road closures at Southbound Happy Valley and Flowers, as well as Happy Valley and Palm Drive.
7.30.25 2:01 p.m.: Evacuation orders have expanded as the fire expands to 25 acres and spreads north. The evacuation area expanded to include zone HAP-7660, which includes Treat Avenue and New Riders Way along Happy Valley Road.
Evacuation warnings have also been issued for zones HAP-7760, which includes Blue Horse Road, and HAP-7650, which includes Flowers Lane.
Happy Valley Road is currently closed southbound at Flowers Lane and northbound at Palm Avenue.
A 20-acre fire near Shawn Drive and Andrea Way near Anderson has prompted evacuation orders in zone HAP-7670, per the Genasys Evacuation Map.
The fire, named Shawn Fire, started today, July 30, a little after 1 p.m., according to Watch Duty. An evacuation order means you should leave now. Find your zone here. The temporary collection point for those evacuating is West Valley High School.
