11.21.24 10:40 am: In response to information from Shasta County that the juveniles are back in custody and there is no ongoing safety risk, this story has been edited to remove the names and photos of the minors involved.

Shasta County is still searching for three youth who escaped from the Shasta County Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility (JRF) on October 12, 2024, at approximately 6:57 p.m.

No additional information is available thus far, the Shasta County Probation Department says. They’re asking for the public’s help finding the missing adolescents and are offering financial rewards.

The juveniles are also encouraged to surrender themselves by returning to the JRF, at any time. Members of the public who see any of these juveniles are advised not to approach them for their own safety and to immediately contact law enforcement by calling 9-1-1.
