Updated: Brooke Fire grows to 366 acres

Evacuation orders and warnings are in place for almost a dozen zones across the Bella Vista area.

A vegetation fire that started around 4:30 p.m. in the Bella Vista area has now spread to 366 acres, per CAL FIRE.

A number of zones in the area are under evacuation orders, including BEV-4250, BEV-4370, JVA-4260, JVA-4280, JVA-4290, JVA-4360. An evacuation order means you should leave immediately. Find your zone here

An evacuation center is being operated by the Red Cross at the Pilgrim Congregational Church located at 2850 Foothill Blvd. Redding.

Other zones are under evacuation warning, including BEV-4200, BEV-4210, BEV-4230, BEV-4240. A warning means you should be prepared to leave immediately if instructed to do so by law enforcement. 

Per the Shasta County Sheriff, there are road closures at Aloha and Blue Sky Roads at Hwy 299, at Dry Creek Road at Elk Trail and at Bear Mountain Road at Dry Creek.

For those at risk, the best source for urgent information are CalFire, the Shasta County SheriffWatch Duty and the Genasys Evacuation Map.
